I've posted this too many times now but this just continues to be my ALL TIME FAVOURITE smoothie. Full of nutrients, protein and carbs which makes it a great post-workout smoothie. - 1 frozen banana (frozen makes it creamier)
- any plant based milk to cover the banana and a little bit more (I use rice-coconut blend which btw is freaking delicious)
- 1 scoop of vegan protein powder (I use vegan protein in chocolate flavour)
- 1-2 TBSP of raw cacao powder
- big handful of spinach
Derp de di derp do do. And THAT is how I feel about this week so far. Did a double whammy of Cardio today to burn off the amazing "Game of Wings" feast that my friends prepared last night. Did some laps at the pool this afternoon..I am still sticking close to the sides like the noob swimmer I am. Biked around town to do some errands, groceries and all that jazz. Learned that biking home with a giant spaghetti squash that won't fit in your basket buttttttt will fit in your purse...not a good idea. There were some egg casualties in Stacey's bright idea gone wrong. And I'm now just home from the gym! I did a circuit at the track. I jogged, as carefully as one apparently could..2 laps, 20 sit-ups, 20 push-ups, 20 burpees, 20 leg lifts and repeat. I also tossed in some playing around on the monkey bars in there. Thennnnn hit the elliptical machine for 45 boring ass minutes of low impact cardio. And now everything hurts, I'm dying and I promise to never eat fried foods again. Icing the ol ankle and getting some rest. I'm so excited to tell everyone that I went to the hospital today and I do NOT have a hernia! I was so worried that I was going to have to have surgery and be out of commission from the gym for weeks. .
So basically I had a lymph node infection which caused soreness and swelling but it's better now! I'm so pumped to get back in the gym. My gf @rannecourtney said I looked like a kid on Christmas haha. .
Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back in business and for those of you that are used to seeing me at the gym, well I can guarantee that I'll be back in there everyday!
