Here's a little timeline on the #pathoftotality here in Charlotte, NC. 11:13 AM (2 hours before the solar eclipse began), 2:13 PM (40 minutes to totality), & the sky at 97.8% totality. 100% totality would've been awesome, but this was still cool! 🌒 #solareclipse2017
We're honoured to help Gordon Food Service Canada staff who are headed to Zambia to build a Crisis Pregnancy Centre in support of Villages of Hope - Africa
This October, Gordon Food Service will be assisting Villages of Hope in building a Crisis Pregnancy Centre in Zambia, Africa.
Many pregnant girls living in rural Zambian villages have no place to live and no resources or skills of their own. As a result, many end up in dire positions, facing danger and even death. In response, we will be helping Villages of Hope build a furnished 10-room home for these girls. In this home they will receive medical attention, vocational and educational training, mothering assistance, prayer, and unconditional love. It will be a safe haven for them and their children.
20 volunteers will spend 10 days in Zambia at the end of the construction phase to move furniture, beds, linens, and medical supplies into the home. Our volunteers will form relationships with the families and all the children in the village, seeing first hand why this mission is so important. And they will return with a new perspective on work and life, because of this experience.
