For some reason I did my math terribly wrong at my last weigh in, and I said I lost 5 lbs when I only lost 3 lbs... wth?
Anyways, I used a calculator this time, and the total lost since 7/28/17 is nearly 5 lbs! I try my best everyday, but weight loss is HARD! Unfortunately, weight gain is easy, which is why quick fix diets don't work! You have to commit to lifestyle changes or you will gain the weight back. My weight has gone up and down throughout the years, and hopefully I can keep the weight off this time. When I talk about weight, I am mostly concerned about fat. The number on the scale is not that important to me, but it is a good indicator of whether or not I am doing the right things!

Sorry I couldn't get a good picture of my falafels inside the pitta's but they were amazing and a took it with me to the kids play centre where I celebrated my nephews birthday! Even I had to go in the ball pool and slides 😂 coz I'm a big kid 😅✌🏻 it was fun! I really felt okay eating this while others ordered something from the menu. Maybe it was too safe and I should of challenged myself... because they did actually have vegan food there 🙈 there's always a next time! Hope your all having a wonderful day so far! 💚

Truth time: the last few years were kinda rocky and all over the place for me. Mentally, emotionally and physically. It has taken a lot of time and work for me to figure out who I am and who I want to be. I am happy with who I am as a person, but not so happy with my physical state. I don't eat healthy, I am not active... so I am changing all of that. 
I've been going to the gym, only for a week, but you have to start somewhere. I am also changing up what I eat. I believe in myself and my ability to succeed. If you have any healthy tasty recipe ideas, please send them my way. .

Wie geht's nun nach meinem Wettkampf ernährungstechnisch weiter, Leute? Ich werde versuchen, mit dem Prinzip "Reverse Dieting" einen allzu schnellen Anstieg meines Körperfettanteils zu verhindern! (Betonung liegt auf "versuchen", da die Versuchung momentan doch sehr groß ist😄)

Konkret: um meinen Stoffwechsel, der sich durch die kalorienreduzierte Diät angepasst hat, wieder nach und nach an mehr Kalorien zu gewöhnen, werde ich die tägliche Kalorienmenge wöchentlich um 200kcal anheben, bis ich in 4 Wochen wieder bei 3200kcal bin (diese Menge schätze ich als meinen Gesamtumsatz ein). Ich starte also bei 2600kcal!

Diese Vorgehensweise kann ich übrigens auch jedem empfehlen, der seine Diät, in der er gut abgespeckt hat, erfolgreich abschließen und keinen Jo-Jo-Effekt erleiden will!

Esta receta me la enseñó la grosa de @alimentomadre , con quien voy a hacer el Healthy Workshop del 9 de septiembre. 
No está tal cual la hace ella, la adapte un poco a lo que tenía! .
👉🏻Salteé una cebolla picada bien chiquita en a penas aceite en spray. Agregar a la olla unos 250gr de quinoa (primero la lavas bien, hay que enjuagarla mucho), sal y cúrcuma con un poco de agua. Agregas 1/4 de calabaza cortada chiquita y dejas cocinar hasta que este todo cocido, más o menos unos 15 min. .
Listo! .
⭐️La quinoa tiene muchas propiedades! Es nutritiva, rica en fibra, libre de gluten, alta en proteínas, magnesio, tiene antioxidantes y ayuda a bajar de peso! .

Last nights dinner leftovers. My friend made the most delicious prawn masala. It had so much depth and layers of flavors. It's made up of coconut, garlic, chilies, ginger, coriander, limes, and I swear you taste every single one the ingredients completely individually. Some major effort went into it, so this evening I ate it very, very slowly, in complete silence, without sharing it with anyone! #prawnmasala

Yesterday I got a surprise email from my university's housing office offering my roommate and I a CAMPUS APARTMENT instead of our open double room in the worst dorm building at Syracuse 🎉🍾💫 not only does this mean I have my own private bedroom, bathroom, and 2 floors of apartment space shared with one of my bffs, but I also have a FULL KITCHEN and am not required to have a dining plan even though I am technically an on campus resident! I am saying goodbye to being exposed to 🍪🍩🍫🍦🍟🍕🥞 on the daily in the dining hall and instead get to fill my fridge with 🥑🍓🍌🥕🥒🍠🍳 and MEAL PREP! So, the point of this post was to let y'all know there will be plenty of college meal prepping/healthy living content in the near future! Stay tuned, 3 days until move in! 😉💕

Panel pancakes for breakfast!
I use: 2egg whites, 1 egg yolk, 1 banana, and some cinnamon and vanilla for flavor. 
I know there's a thousand recipes out there, but my one suggestion: beat the egg whites first as if making meringue hen fold them into the yolk/banana mixture. It makes for fluffier pancakes that I don't feel like I have to convince my friends and family they taste good. 
Without beating the whites you get flat "pancakes" that leave you and everyone else questioning their likeness to their wheat filled brethren.
