It bothers me that I cannot look at the TV or social media without seeing division everywhere on what happened this weekend with regards to the NFL players and the National Anthem.
It bothers me many have lost homes, families, lives, and many still struggling to survive from recent storms or earthquakes, yet we are focused on this that divides.
It bothers me that a church shooter entered a church in TN and killed someone and wounded others on Sunday, yet the NFL dominates the media.
I respect what the Dallas Cowboys did on Monday night as they locked arms and knelt in unity (prior to the the national anthem) over an issue they want to bring awareness to. Then they stood and honored the flag during the National Anthem, and those who fought, and the countless who lost lives fighting for the freedoms we enjoy. This was done in unity, without violence, without hate, and with respect.
Keeling during the national Anthem would not be the way I would choose to make a statement, but one has the freedom to do so as long as it is not done out of disrespect.
It bothers me that Trump took a play out of Obamas playbook and poked a fire already burning and spoke words that were not unifying. The media wants a race war. However, I'm determined to look past the media with my brothers of all races, and backgrounds to lock arms together in unity of all being made in God's image; I'm determined to stand together in honor of our flag and those who fought for our freedoms; and I'm determined to kneel together in prayer that God would bring healing, unity and peace to us as a people, as a nation. The only way for this to happen is if we do what was called for in 2 Chron 7:14, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Kneel at the cross with me and lets pray for our Leaders, our Country, and what God has in store. #prayerchangesthings#honorGodandcountry#bethechurch#healourland#prayamericagreatagain

YOU CANNOT BE SO ENGROSSED IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE THAT YOU'RE MISSING OUT ON WHAT'S TAKING PLACE IN THE WORLD! We are living in the world but not of it. As such, we as believers have a responsibility to be aware of what's going on in the world community. You've got to buff up on whats going on in the world and do your part to help impact it whether you exercise freedom of speech, prayer, nonviolent protest, programs, or what gifts or resources you have. Use your gifts and let God use you. 🙇🏾♂️🤝🏾 #WorldAwareness#HandInHand#colinkaepernick#PrayerChangesThings#Pray#SocialJustice#JesusDidIt#YouCan2

Hey guys! One of my good friends is organizing a BOLD Prayer Walk in which believers from across the nation will come together on one accord to pray for our communities, our country and the world. I personally believe that prayer is the most powerful form of advocacy and that the only real way to bring lasting social change is through spiritual transformation. I will be acting as the anchor for the BOLD Prayer Walk in Charlotte, NC. If you are anywhere in the area and have a heart for prayer, please join us in this united prayer movement.
Saturday, Oct. 14th | Freedom Park | 8:00a.m.
***Please help me spread the word and if you would like to attend please contact me so we can prepare accordingly***
This Wednesday is //See You At The Pole//
Meet at your school's flag pole at 7am for some powerful prayer. What a great opportunity to unite with fellow believers. "For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”
While we fight and disagree with each other there is a real enemy walking around destroying people, lives, and families. I am reminded tonight again that we have to pray and remember who the real enemy is and that is Satan. #ephesians612#prayerchangesthings
