St. Thomas above Praprotno near Škofja Loka has become photographers Mecca a few years ago but seems it is losing it's popularity.

Gaudi did a fantastic job designing the fantastic Sagrada Famillia. It's a shame he was accidentally knocked over by a tram in 1926 and was unable to see his work complete... even today, it's still not complete! Just think, our children, or even our children's children could be the first generation to see it in its full glory!

What makes the valley unique is the ancient history of its inhabitants. The whole canyon is honeycombed with rock-cut underground dwellings and churches from the Byzantine period built by the Cappadocian Greeks. These local people were forced to leave the area and move to Greece in the 1923 Population exchange between Turkey and Greece. (Wikipedia)

THE BLACKHOUSE, ARNOL.
This traditional Lewis thatched house is fully furnished, complete with an attached barn, byre and stackyard.
Built in around 1880, No.42 Arnol gives a special insight into island life. This blackhouse was once the residence of a Hebridean crafting family and their animals, who moved out in 1966, and today it is preserved almost as the family left it.
A peat fire burns in the open hearth with the smoke filtering out through the roof. A furnished 1920s crofthouse is also open to view.
The new visitor centre is contained on one level, where there is a shop, exhibition area and an interactive model.
Most of the site is accessible to visitors using wheelchairs however the door leading to the rear is too narrow to fit a wheelchair.
Parking is 45 m from the property, but visitors with disabilities can be dropped off nearer the house

If you want to go fast go alone. If you want to go far go together. - African Proverb
In february I went with my sister and 5 friends to my second home South Africa. It was the very first time for me to organize a 2 week trip with so many different individuals. One thing I can tell you guys, we had the fucking time of our lives 🙅🏻♂️ and I will write a post on my blog before this year is going to end. Thank you for all your love and support ❤️
When it comes to booking a holiday which do you think is better? Booking a holiday well in advance and having months to countdown and enjoy the anticipation? Or booking something a couple of weeks or a couple of days before you leave and not having to wait? I loved the anticipation last year when we went to America of counting down and knowing we were going on an adventure. But there is something so fun about having just booked a spontaneous trip to Malta and be going on the weekend! And not having to wait as long. What do you reckon? Have you tried both?
